Just my luck, I was driving home from the Holt's to throw some last little things into the wash and to finish packing......and while driving across Altwana Bridge (over the river) I hit a bloody deer!
The poor thing jumped up and ran away, but sadly, the little guy hit the right front corner of Heather's car. He busted the headlight, the bumper, and the turn signal. I was only going about 30km per hour, so the airbag did not go off or anything like that. Still, the way cars are built now-a-days I'm guessing at least $1500 damage?
The bad news is that this is one more thing for Heather to handle while I'm gone...the good news is that the police dispatcher said they had tracked the deer and it seemed OK.....plus the body shop has approximately 5 weeks to fix the car!!!
