I am excited about heading to San Antonio and Austin (Texas) from May 23rd to May 30th for a work conference.
I have never been to this part of the U.S., and as cheesy as it sounds I am the most excited about seeing the Alamo!
The battle at the Alamo seems like an interesting part of history, and it will be great to see and learn more about this place "while standing where it actually happened".
The "work portion" of the trip is the NISOD conference. This conference is for University and College faculty. To be truthful, I am not really sure what to expect, but it is represented as one of the best (it also doesn't hurt that it is Austin!)
